1945 Mauser 98K K98 BNZ45, All numbers matching. This rifle is in perfect working condition. More pictures available with markings if requested. This rifle has no box.
This is nice very late war “ Last ditch” Mauser K98 rifle - code BNZ 45 – scarce ‘Kriegsmodel” , with all matching numbers including bolt.Serial number 8950 – manufactured in Aporx April of 1945 by Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria – right before factory got captured

This is very late war variation rifle known as “ kriegsmodel”. In last months of WWII Germans have been doing cuts in quality control, and simplifying production as much as possible in order to provide maximum number of firearms to their soldiers in less amount of time, that was running out for 3rd Riche. Those firearms are also known as “Ersatz” This particular example has new simple design stock without “take down” disc – replaced by small hole in butt-plate ! ! “semi-kriegsmodel “ variation.

Also very crude parts finish and modified bolt without “guide” shows dramatic changes in “ Last ditch “ production right before down-fall, Also numeration of small parts, stock elements was stopped at this stage of production. According to known data and observations last Mausers made at Steyr during WWII were around serial 3000 in “t” block , that puts this rifle in one of last 4000 ever made by nazi Germany. Metal Finish is all authentic WWII and remains in great condition - phosphate and blued parts with very typical for BNZ45 remaining signs of soldering on sight components and very rough parts fitting, remains at 95%

Laminated Stock is also nice with expected handling marks and ware – no serial number present on hand guard and stock !! Typical for that serial range BNZ45.There is single Army acceptance Eagle WaA623 steyr proof on right side of stock. Metal components also proofed with military WaA623 for Steyr. Bore is excellent – Mirror 10/10. If you are looking for a nice example of the “last ditch” Mauser rifle of the German Army this is the one, that will be very hard to upgrade.

Rifle has no import marks or Russian capture, finish 100% authentic from WWII – GI WWII bring back souvenir.
