Selling a 1911A1 Colt US ARMY manufactured in 1944. Firearm was found in a sealed box in a banded shipping container of officer that passed away in 1946. The shipping container was never opened by family. Box is marked Ithica but firearm inside is a Colt. This was not uncommon during the war to use whatever box was available. Also inside box are 2 spare magazine assemblies in unopened package. This Colt 1911A1 has never been fired aside from the required test firing by the manufacturer to ensure proper operation of the firearm. Firearm was appraised by Cabelas in excellent 98% condition. Firearm has not been taken apart or handled except for a safety check to make sure no round was chambered and for the appraisal inspection and the pictures. This is a rare opportunity to own a US ARMY 1944 Colt 1911A1 in like new condition with original box. Located in Reno Nevada $5500
