In excellent condition and only had 6 rounds fired through it by me after it was cleaned of the cosmoline packing grease. It was purchased from the DCM through the NRA in 1973 by a family friend and sat in a safe until he pass away a few years ago. I have the original receipt for and send a picture if you want to check it out. It is a 365XXXX serial number so it was made in 1943.
The furniture is nice but a little rough patch on the upper handguard (seen in the pic). Also the screw for the windage ramp and the trigger guard is mushroomed slightly. No pits in the metal and the barrel looks clean. The 6 rounds I put down range grouped well so seems to be a decent shooter.
The stock has a circle with a P for the proofing and the other markings seems to put it as a SC stock. The bolt has an R on it so looks to be a Remington replacement but the trigger guard seems to be SC since it is curved behind the front screw. Barrel is also SC stamped with a 3-43.
Looking for $850. Will consider partial trades of 9MM ammo (no steel case).
FTF in Las Vegas only. "I'll take it" post rules the day.
Must meet around the 215 and Charleston area and show DL or CCW at time of purchase.
