Hello,

The company I work for is hiring. The job is installing cable for COX. We provide paid training, and are willing to work with you on required tools. Must be able to pass background check and drug screening. Must have pick-up or suv that you are willing to put a ladder rack on, as we drive our own vehicles. Must have valid licence, registration and insurance. The job involves hights and tight places at times, so you must be able to deal with both.
Once out of training, how much you make is up to you, as it is piece work pay. Most techs average around $50,000 annually but did have one hit 115,000 last year. Its a good job, but not for everyone.

:iagree:

We are still hiring.

My girlfriend is looking for a part-time job 20-30 hours would be ideal.

She goes to CSN Monday-Wednesday this semester so working the weekends wouldn't be an issue.

She has strong organizational skills and likes to keep busy.

Please PM me if you are looking for a part-time assistant or employee.

Thanks.

The County has been posting part time jobs. They are usually for the Parks and Recreation Department. They are normally flexible on hours. Might be worth a shot.

There is a big power line job that is going to be kicking off in April that will be going from north las vegas area to Ely. You can get on the books at Local 396 IBEW. There is nowhere near enough man power to handle the job so after they clear the books there they will be taking from out of state. You can get on as a ground man (labor) with no experience and it pays about $22 an hr. If you have any experience running equipment you might be able to get on as an operator which is around $30. Perdiem is $50 a day. You will be working away from home most of the time and they will be long days and weeks. 12-16 hours a day and 6 to 7 days a week. The job should last about two years. Also a CDL will go a long way here on getting you off the books, Class A. I hope this helps

I just wanted to throw out a feeler and see if there might be any need for my services. In this town it is always who you know not what. For that reason I am going to be a tad vague. I am a facilities manager. Things that I do range from every day mail and runs to security, new property acquisition, purchasing and contract negotiations to name just a few things.
I am really a jack of all trades and a master of none, lol. So, if there happens to be a spot for someone like me shoot me a message.

From what I heard at the last meeting the job is supposed to kick off around april 1st and they have till november 1st to finish the first 85 miles so they plan on working 7 days a week 14 hours a day 3 hours of which will be windshield time. If you want to make some money this is the job to get on and they will not be able to fill it from the local book only

I tried to do the math on that and couldn't...I'm getting ready to work :-)

My cousin recently got laid off from his job and I told him of this tip. I took him to the office to sign up soon after this got posted. The idea grew on me so much that I signed up too! We'll see how it pans out. I'm ready for a change in career and working in "the great outdoors!".

Yeah, maybe some of us can get a leg up again. I've been in the trade since '85 and it's always been good to me, up until the crooks and bankers ( am I being redundant ?) got hold of everything. I hope this pans out for everyone in need.

I'm not sure this lives up to some of the cool jobs I've seen posted in the past couple pages but maybe someone on here will find it helpful... I work for an event security company that is currently hiring. Pay is below $9 per hour. They send you a list of events and you sign up for which ones you are available for. Most people in this line of work have a weekday job and they do this on weekend nights; I am a college student so for me it's an enjoyable way to make extra money. Perks include being able to do security for bands/shows that you enjoy or are interested in seeing.
Getting a guard card is fairly easy. Take an online class, get fingerprinted, submit your information for BG check, etc... It is a frustrating process, but it is all that is required for this job. If you have military experience I can almost guarentee an imediate hire.
PM for more information...

Thanks for posting this, it isn't a life changing career move, but in some cases it's much needed income, some extra for groceries or gasoline. Even some cases of ammo :bigviolent: :appls:
