Never owned a Ford before

Yep that's it. It's supposed to undercut all other trucks in price but at the same time have options that you only see on $50-75 thousand dollar trucks.

The Tasman will be built on a traditional ladder frame like a full-size truck. It will not be a unibody like most small trucks. Expect towing capacity of 7,500 pounds.

Remember when Ford and Mazda shared vehicles? Same vehicle, different name.

yep - Ford Courier - Mazda B2000 - I think Ford had about 25% interest in Mazda at the time
There also was the Dodge Stealth and Mitsubishi 3000GT
Probably a few others out there

Dodge/Mitsubishi…Ford/Mazda…Chevy/Isuzu. None of the big three ever made a mini truck.

1978 Ford Courier mini pick up truck. Made by Mazda.

Go for the Dodge.

I have owned 2 fords a long time ago. Mercury Lynx ?82? And ?86? Escort

They were ok for what they were. Econobox beaters.

In my travel days, I drove many ford rentals.

Most recently, mid 10’s I drove several. The two most annoying issues were the seat belt dingers never shutting off and the auto engine shutoff when stopping. The ford rental I had last November improved the shutoff. Now it’s just a button. Seat belt still annoying

I would be extremely unlikely to purchase a ford. The override of the two above features would effect choice of ANY vehicle.

Come next car time, we will see where Toyota is with regular gas engines and standard drive trains. Otherwise a brand change may occur.

Omg!!! Those are the street king mirrors! Or similar!

Dads ‘70 never lost a street mirror dual!

My 73 I used to have was my first vehicle with west coast mirrors and id be lying if i said I didn’t smash them into multiple things like ATM’s. Never damaged them tho.

Godzilla has to be the best name for a truck engine.

Pretty sure Kia means oh s h i t in Korean lol

I had a 2011 F-150 FX4 for nine years. It was an awesome truck, never had any issues and handled everything I thru at it.

Other than upsizing the tires, installing an CAI, MagnaFlow exhaust and upgrading the stereo to one with CarPlay it was basically FX4 stock. I Loved that truck!

I recently upgraded to the Ram 2500 Power Wagon 6.4L HEMI with a DiabloSport Pulsar ECM chip. When I hit the gas the truck (as big as it is) nearly takes flight! I also really like all of the other bells and whistles like cameras, lane change assist, heated seats, etc.

I looked at the 2020 FORD F250, but at the time, I found the interior lacking and the infotainment system fairly generic for my specific tastes. I do love the stance and attitude of the F250 and it drips in street cred and capabilities.

They wanted more than $10k above the Power Wagon for the mid level F250 though, so I went with the Ram.

I’ve been driving the PW for a couple of years now and loving it.
I really hope you enjoy the F250 as well!

Same, a Powerwagon…hate all the whistles and especially the bells, though. It will romp a typical 250 off road, of course.
It’s a grandpa truck vs my last Ford imo, hoping it remains usable longer.
My buddy got a new 250/Godzilla a month or so ago, a short video she made of it in action.
