Employment/Jobs - helping our members!

Don’t know what the pay is as we are not strip wages but I really do enjoy working for our owner and GM. Two great guys. The Slot director is pretty great guy as well. Good luck.
Does Binions have the same director as the Queens. I enjoy working with guys at the Four Queens

No, they are the only department that has separate directors. All other department directors cover both properties.

Saw this on Reddit. Reposting in case it helps.

Bit of a longshot, but I figured I’d post since the job I was due to start last Wednesday had a salary of $10k less on the contract than their verbal offer and my other interview processes are taking a while.

I’ve got pretty varied experience ranging from Grant/proposal/technical writing to government affairs to policy/research analyst type work. I’m a hard worker and I even have some more hands on experience, as shown by when I took time off school to pay for it by working in a warehouse in North Vegas. I have a BA in Political Science with a History minor from one of the more respected universities in the South, since that has left me with some student loan debt I’m kinda looking for around $25 an hour or $52,000 salaried as a starting pay rate. Really open to anything specific to my background or even more general administrative/office type stuff.

Anyone have any leads that could apply to my situation? To be honest some writing work or policy analysis type stuff for a firearms related org like FPC or something would probably be ideal (currently in the running for something with the Committee for the Advancement of Hunting and Shooting Sports along with some local gov jobs like North Vegas’s Gov Affairs Specialist one).

Thanks a ton in advance!

I'm looking for armed security guards with executive protection experience. MUST have current Nevada PILB Armed Guard Card and Nevada CCW. These are on-call positions, but are quite frequent. If anyone is interested please call SRT Special Services at 702-478-5506.

Gunhand in order to get a pilb it says They must also be employed by a private security provider.
How do u get one if you are not working for a company like yours?

You have to go to someone that has a Security License, and get a verification letter from the License holder, then with that letter, you attend an Armed Security Guard class. Most License holders won't give you that letter unless you are on their books. Someone would have to work for a company as an unarmed guard, then get the License holder gives you the letter. No real way to get around it.

Posting for a friend

He is relocating to Vegas from Denver this weekend and has a lot of experience with bartending and server at higher end joints in CO and FL.

Let me know of any leads I can pass on to him.

I work in the concrete industry and I know we are in need of good concrete finishers and laborers, if your interested PM and I’ll give you my HR’s contact.

I have a friend in the security business looking for off duty law enforcement for the jewelry convention. I am not sure if another qualification works as far as armed security. I can check with her if anyone is interested and already has armed security qualifications.

I’m a licensed armed guard with armed childcare card. Looking for quick and easy side gigs. TIA

I am hiring part-time and full-time armed and unarmed security guards in the Reno and Sparks area. Our security officer assignments range from static commercial, retail, and industrial establishments to events, festivals, conventions, concerts, and more. Armed assignments also include personal protection and escorts. We have day, evening, and overnight shifts, seven days a week. Unarmed guards currently earn $21-23 per hour and armed guards currently earn $21-24, both depending on experience. Candidates must have a valid Nevada PILB guard card. If armed, they must also have military, law enforcement, or equivalent training and experience. Work as a security guard is a safety-sensitive and therefore we have a drug-free policy, including a no tolerance to marijuana policy.

Please feel free to contact me directly.

Okay so i know i may not be the most popular guy around here, but im coming here with a question of where to get started into fire/ems/rescue volunteer services here in southern nevada? Im legitimately looking to help the community, and gain experience doing it. I know we have all kinds of members here that know more about this subject. Im not asking for a hand out, just a hand pointing the right direction.

Fair point. I do have one down the road, and had planned to walk over there tomorrow and see what i could find. Never the less, any info that anybody here might have is also appreciated.

Try the City of Henderson HR department, Clark county HR department, City of Las Vegas HR department. I`m sure they would know when they are taking applications for the fire and rescue.
