Post your offroad vehicle

Pic from Sunday.

(f**k)ing hate the good awful mess from the playa but crossing it lets me do 60mph and cuts off about 15 miles of twisty washboard.7B6D3176-A8F5-4719-A022-5121F54CE951.jpeg

Trip report? Where did you go? I’m thinking about hitting the Success Loop Backcountry Byway in the coming weeks. I want to see some changing leaves.

Success is always a nice drive. This pic was up top of Success about a year and a half ago. B3DA1B7B-B732-4426-AA95-400583F09B5B.jpeg

The pics from my last post were from my hunting trip last weekend. Soldier meadows road all the way up to summit lake then off through the Lahontan Trout Study Area looking for a buck. About 70 miles of dirt in and then back out again. Pretty tame, mostly dirt roads until the last several miles where it gets a bit more rocky, the. Beyond there it gets pretty damn tight in the aspens. Winds were so bad aspens were falling all over, big old one fell across the trail while we were out looking for deer. Had to winch it out of the way to get back to camp.

some decent little climbs out there but nothing a standard 4x4 couldn’t handle. Only used low on descents.

Cool pics marn! I especially like the one with the fog. No wonder you pulled over.

It was bad, lol. Not ideal for spot and stalk hunting. We were literally inside a cloud, wasn’t even fog. Those pics were around 8500’ elevation.

Sold the ol; truck today. For the first time in 18 years I dont own a vehicle of my own (we have the wifes rubicon and her nova still). Im happy that "this" truck is gone but sad to be without "a" truck.

A bit more tame than the last one, but she likes it that way and it's growing on me....waiting for a shell and a bunch of armor on order.8B79DCF4-F121-47A9-8C7E-DF2E86801EE4.jpeg

 yeah it'll do real good. Just need to go to cal ranch and grab a hitch and I'll be set.

I have a lot of hitches, we should see how one lines up with the tiny trailers. What did we use with the white Colorado, no drop?

Oh even better, we'll check it out one of these days then.

In the meantime......this or something like it and a 3/4" rated D-ring shackle, as in it will list the working limit on it.
It matches your truck and will give you a recovery point on the back and something to drag besides that bumper. Or, did you get one already?

Nope I haven't gotten anything like that just yet. Trying to get a bunch of recovery equipment ready for the truck like tow straps, tire repair kit etc etc
