I'm not 100% but, I think I read that it does accepts Saiga mags. I do know that it accepts MKA1919 mags, though.

Do you have to run high brass rounds to cycle reliably?

In the pic posted above I see high and low brass on the ground. The round flying out of the ejection port is low brass.
