Very likely. My adventures with running the 2nd one with 22LR have been informative, if ultimately a bit irritating due to how the CMMG FA adapter 'flap' needs to be adjusted on routine basis. Runs like a champ with 5.56, but I picked up the 2nd unit for a dedicated 22LR upper.
