Blackhawk made in 1972, no warning label on the barrel, no transfer bar, first notch safety cock, built on the original smaller Blackhawk frame that is close to the 1873 Colt in size, 6 1/2" barrel. After 1973 Ruger went to the Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum larger frame for .357 caliber pistols which are much heavier and not as nicely balanced.
