The Official Motorcycle Thread!

Before and after.
Don't need the tour pack, but it came with it. So I took it off. Going to replace the air ride shocks one of these days when it's cooler out.
Brother in law in Florida bought a new Lowrider ST and sold me his old one for cheap. 40 years ago I would have flown down and rode it back. Paid to have it shipped here.

Old thread but worthy of resurrection.

My ‘24 GSXS1000GX
Didn’t go to the dealer to buy a new bike but they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse - actually the first brand new bike I’ve bought since the 1980’s.
150hp GSXR in-line four motor with enough creature comforts to ride all day. A sports bike for old men.

BTW anybody know what happened to the OP of this thread @DonTom ? Looks like he stopped by the forum in March but hasn’t posted in a long time.

I recall something about him throwing a temper tantrum, calling everybody a bunch of azzholes, stomping off and saying he was leaving for good. 🤷‍♂️

That sounds vaguely right.

I don't mind group rides as long as the group maxes out about 2 or 3. Or else I can be the tailgunner about 3 miles back. ;)

I kinda like riding alone, but sometimes our m/c requires riding together

Friends vs. Biker Friends

Friends: Never ask for food,
Biker Friends: Are the reason you have no food.

Friends: Will say "Hello",
Biker Friends: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.

Friends: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs..
Biker Friends: Call your partents Mom and Dad.

Friends: Have never seen you cry,
Biker Friends: Cry with you.

Friends: Eat at your dinner table and leave,
Biker Friends: Will spend hours talking, laughing and just being together.

Friends: Know a few things about you,
Biker Friends: Could write a book with direct quotes.

Friends: Knock on your door,
Biker Friends: Walk right in and say "I'm Home !"

Friends: Are for a while,
Biker Friends: Are for life.

Friends: Will ignore this,
Biker Friends: Will forward this.

I quit riding with big groups after a HOG chapter ride during which the idiot next to/in front of me demonstrated his ignorance regarding staggered formations... or group riding in general. Coming through the Altamont Pass, he stomped the rear brake, ignoring the fact that his bike had a brake on the other end too; began fishtailing, nearly hit us and did hit another bike. He ended up crashing into the median, injuring himself and his passenger but luckily no one else.

I hear you about wanting to be well to the rear of an big group.
