As soon as I saw the ad, I was thinking, if that's in .257, it'll be SWEET. Ugh. It IS! There's just too many things on my list above getting one of those, but THAT's the one!

That's a great price. If it was German I'd get it. If it's on your bucket list I can assure you you'll be kicking yourself next week when some body else snaps it up.
 
I have a HOWA made Weatherby in 30-06. Excellent quality. I have no problem with anything made by HOWA.

Your rifle is beautiful.....damn long barrel LOL.
 
The Howa are their Vanguard line of regular calibers. The MkV are an entirely different animal. 9 lug bolts with shorter throw. Premium wood - premium bluing great triggers etc. They did also make a 30-06 in the MkV with only a 6 lug bolt due to the lower pressure.
