Best Lever action design made? – Savage 99!

Great condition for its age. Bore is bright and spotless. Functions great. Rifle shows minor wear/use on the bluing and spots on the stock - overall 90% condition, I think.
See the photos of the grip for the worst.
24-inch barrel / overall length of 43.5
5 round internal rotary magazine

Manufactured 1951. All original. Has buckhorn sights with copper tip blade, cartridge counter in the mag and a loaded chamber indicator. Good clear checkering on the Schnabel fore end and pistol grip. Good looking wood. Sling swivels with a 1903/M1 military sling.

300 Savage ammo was designed to get the performance of the 30/06 in a shorter cartridge for lever actions. The cartridge is capable of propelling a 150-grain (9.7 g) bullet at over 2,600 ft/s (790 m/s) with an effective range of over 300 yd (270 m). (via the internet)

$875 OBO - no trades at this time
Includes 50 rounds of factory ammo in factory boxes. Both 150 and 180 grain.20210110_125305.jpg20210110_125311.jpg20210110_125305.jpg20210110_125311.jpg20210110_125414.jpg20210110_125448.jpg20210110_125511.jpg
