Ruger and Daniel Defense love the ATF

#3
I did not understand this OP, but now I do, for those unaware, CEOs of Ruger and Daniel Defense, testified that they do not want to eliminate the ATF and they follow the regulations enforced by the ATF. Given WV v EPA it is time for all to push back on over reach of all FEDERAL agencies that interpret law rather than follow codified laws. The ATF needs to be eliminated. It is time for all 2A supporting gun owners to send a message. BOYCOTT Ruger and Daniel Defense and tell them why.

The ceos of Ruger and DD had to say what they had to say to keep from the deep scrutiny of the government and ATF. If they would have said anything against the ATF they would be examined under a magnifying scope anytime an issue came up and be possibly put out of business. There is a time and a place for everything.

The time and place is NOW. SCOTUS rulings of Bruen and WV v EPA is enough to rein in the ATF. Let the ATF push too hard, they are being investigated by congress on the number of FFLs they revoked and the number of investigations they are doing. Small FFLs can't fight individually, but it is time to push back. They could have said no comment, or resisted their appearance at the hearings. They did not break any laws. They were invited to attend not subpoenaed

The more that keep saying there is a time and place are the ones that have let the slow invasion of our rights. The time and place is now.

The awb just passed the house and dd is being sued for the mass shooting their weapon was used in. If they show any disdain for aft now theyre as good as f**cked. The court of popular opinion seems to think silence is an admission of guilt. Id rather their business survive today to fight tomorrow.

If they are being sued more reason to not testify. Further more the ATF cannot do anything about the civil case and the AWB if passed, highly unlikely to pass the Senate, will not impact their business by the ATF, their business will be over for DD and that segment for Ruger. MORE reason to stand their ground. They bowed to their oppressors willingly. ENOUGH already. I will never buy one of their products again. Time for principles and convictions, if you want to continue to be reamed up the arse then please continue to bend over like too many others. Your arguments are why we are here with so much gun control to begin with. I assume you are proud NRA member who thinks they are great too and have never compromised. just sad.

You can't honestly believe the alphabet agencies dont have any influence on civil cases? They have an influence on everything else in our lives. The government does as it pleases. It exerts influence through intimidation and money. Taxation is theft yet most if not all people on this board happily pay every tax put in front of them to not piss off the IRS and end up in jail. Well Ruger an DD dont want to end up out of business. Unless all of us as a whole stand up to the gov. you can't expect one or two businesses to take it in the ass and sacrifice themselves for our beliefs.

I guess you are not at all familiar with what has occurred with ruling in SCOTUS. The Bruen decision, the WV v EPA decision AND the number of 2A cases sent back to the courts. This is the BEST opportunity we have had to fight back against all the Fed agencies including the ATF and to fight gun control. If AWB actual does pass, it will be immediately challenged in court.

Enough is enough......we need to stand and fight tooth and nail and stop the excuses.

Im familiar with the rulings but from what Ive seen the left just dismisses the rulings and finds a way to work around the Scotus decisions. If we can vote out the left and take over then I can see these decisions having an impact, but till then, half of the Americans out there see no problem with their party trampling all over the constitution.

Well, put.

The public in general is so ignorant and has so little regard for or understanding of the Constitution. It doesn't help that our corrupt politicians deliberately fuel the ignorance so they can further exploit the stupidity..... all with the blessing of the media of course.

Most folks have no problem w the government trampling constitutional rights of others as long as it doesn't affect them.

They could have done what S&W did and refused to be a part of the dog & Pony show. DD & Ruger could have simply said " we don't agree with the ATF existing, but we comply in order to stay in business" . But they stayed true to the FUDD mold.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop making excuses for them. They had choices: 1) do NOT attend the circus they called a hearing or 2) do not admit to anything including SUPPORTING the ATF. They decided to pander and bow down to their oppressors.

Yes, and they learned. Shame other manufacturers were not paying attention.
HOPEFULLY they learned, I can’t tell you if they did or not.

You can’t “compromise” with these tyrants.
Give them an inch, they chop off a foot, and demand more.

Playing defense with these people just leads to slow death.

While I respect your opinion, I disagree entirely. Say it like it is. The government overreach needs to hit the brakes and back up a bit. Dissolve the business, open another. Keep contact info for all the .Mil contracts, make profit, and be able to support the 2A. Capitalism is awesome!

I agree the time is NOW for the 2A community to come together. That means Fudds, CCW holders, larpers, hunters of all variety, and basement dwellers to come together and tell the Left and the NRA to F off. If we don’t stand up now, there won’t be a 2A for the next generations of Americans.
