thanks for the input. I haven’t put a ton of research. My girlfriend just wants a bolt rifle. How much does the compact run for?

I have three Ruger American's (RRs). They shoot just peachy. The only complaint I have is the bolts look like they were cast from clay molds made by a 'challenged' 5 year-old. Rough, really rough. Mega tool marks. Sloppy as hell in the receiver. All that said, they shoot just fine.
