I recently acquired an airbrush for spray painting my scale models. I just need an air compressor to start painting, so checking locally for one.
I have cash and I also have some kits I'd trade for it as well.
There's a member here that has a 20 gallon from Harbor Freight they apparently needs a new motor. He's giving it away. Could be a cheap fix for someone who's handy with tools.

Lots of choices. Make sure you get oilless or you'll need to buy an oil separator. You should get a water separator anyway. The cheaper bigger compressor is a lot noisier - plan on building a insulated box around it if you'll be painting in the house/evenings (the most popular hobby time).

I have a small 10 gallon air compressor that will wake the dead when running.
Unfortunately most air compressors will make you deaf if you don't wear hearing protection.
This is what my son uses for airbrushing his miniature game figures. I think he found it on Amazon. It's very quiet. It has a carry handle and it's a little smaller than your average sewing machine.
It's called a "Cool Runner"
