They were bought stripped. I'm guessing "other"

But the rifle buffer tube is installed on both of them. Were they originally purchased ‘stripped.’? If they were bought stripped, one could swap to a pistol buffer tube before you go in the store. IMO..

You can buy it with a stock on it and still have it marked as an other. I've done it. The buffer tube doesn't matter.
