The AMT 25/22 Lightning was made in Covina CA between 1984 and 1994. It is an exact copy of the Ruger 10/22 but made from all stainless steel and has a factory overmolded Monte Carlo stock. It weighs about 6.5 pounds, has a 22 inch crowned, plain tapered barrel without sights. AMT created the stainless steel 10/22 (as well as the first stainless steel MarkI pistol) copies of Ruger's guns before Ruger made them in stainless. Ruger currently markets some of their 10/22's as stainless steel but, in fact, only the barrels are stainless. The receivers and trigger groups are Aluminum Alloy. AMT's guns (like this one) are ALL stainless steel.
AMT made two models - a folding stock tactical model and this harder to find Target model.
Located in Pahrump and looking for 525.00 or possible trade ..

In good shape? Approx round count? Uses Ruger mags and other parts?

Yes good shape I don't know round count but looks to be in good shape. I have had this gun about 7years and have put maybe 3-4 hundred rounds thru it. Still holds a good group.
