M98 Mauser Custom Sporter 7x64mm $2499
This rifle was manufactured by Triebel in Suhl Germany in February 1939 using military (surplus) parts. It was nitro proofed with a 9-gram steel jacketed bullet. Triebel was one of the medium-sized factories at that time. The factory mark is visible next to the serial number. It appears to have then been sold by Eblen in Stuttgart. It is not “custom-made” in today's sense; these types of rifles were standard products of the rifle factories of the time and were produced in large quantities in various versions after 1918. It has a magnificent K. Battenfeld 6x56 Triplex Reticle scope mounted with detachable claw mounts and Double Set Triggers. The bore is excellent. The stock is shiny and virtually unblemished, showing the use and care of all these years! Integral cheek rest.
