- NOTE- $2000 is the Nevada Shooters price. I have the vehicle listed for $2500 on craigslist currently.
For sale is my 2005 Ford Five Hundred with 121,295 miles on the odometer. I am the second owner of this vehicle and I purchased it in 2013. My wife and I are moving to Seattle, WA in two weeks and are unable to take a second vehicle with us due to parking space constraints up there.
I have a vehicle history (CarFax) four years of maintenance records and it was serviced the entire time I owned it at Findlay Lincoln in Henderson.
Automatic Transmission (CVT)
A/C works, but takes a minute to get cold.
All Wheel Drive system
Leather Seats
Memory Seats
Power Seats
Moonroof (sunroof that slides)
Power Steering Wheel and Pedals
Tires are still in good condition, all four were replaced in 2015.
It has been a great vehicle but there are a few things I want to address to the buyer for full disclosure:
1: It has a few small dents and scratches, it is a 12 year old car after all.
2: There is a minor oil leak and a small leak in the power steering fluid line. Findlay Lincoln told us that we may need to replace the power steering pump in the future if the fluid level gets too low.
3: The throttle body needs to be cleaned at the very least, or in the worst case scenario, replaced ($400 estimate for a replacement throttle body from Findlay Lincoln) This is a well known, well documented issue with this particular model and I repaired it once already in 2013 by cleaning the throttle body when I first bought it. In most driving situations the car has no issues whatsoever, but when it is extremely hot and the A/C is on full blast, you may experience lurching movements or in the worst case scenario, an Engine Fail Safe Mode where the car temporarily shuts down to prevent further damage. As I mentioned previously, in most situations the car drives fine but we have had a couple of instances this summer that prompt me to let you know about the issue. This is a completely fixable issue but I do not want to spend the money fixing it knowing that I am moving and cannot take the car with me.
Kelly Blue Book Value on this car is almost $2700 in fair condition (lowest condition) and almost $3000 in good condition, which I believe the car is. I am listing the car at $2000 because I would like it to sell quickly before I move out of state.
I just had the car appraised at CarMax (I have the documentation from them still) They noted: "Vehicle is well maintained, great options on vehicle." and put everything in Good Condition. My wife does not want to sell the vehicle to them because they will auction the car away to someone that does not know about the vehicle's issues. She wants the next owner to have full knowledge of the vehicle and appreciate it for what it is.
Please let me know if you are interested ASAP I also listed the vehicle on Craigslist.
