When they opened the tunnels at the convention center the autonomous Teslas they still had “operators” in them. Last I knew they are full operators now. Guess it hasn't worked out the way they hoped.

These are level 3 vehicles retrofitted with the same sensor array as their level 5 taxis will use. Essentially it's testing/mapping.

You can take over control it's a regular SUV that's been retrofitted. Now the level 5 robotaxis they have don't have any steering controls in the vehicle. Eventually those robotaxis will be all over. They already have approval from a few states to operate on the roadways.

It's more about mapping and creating 3d maps and training the AI to react and make decisions. It's not Tesla. Tesla is a level 2 self driving car and I don't even think they're working towards full self driving. It's just a marketing angle. The few companies that are making these level 5 robotaxis are going for the rideshare market. Full self driving in the real world is more complex than a two year endeavor.

Nope. 12 year old kid at the controls on their cell phone. What about loss of signal to the remote driver? Who is the driver? Does he, she or it have a license and insurance? It is difficult enough for me to get into a car with another driver let alone a remote control car.

So, I figured I’d post here and see if there is anything worth while out there. I have 5+ years in B2B sales and I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Minor in Criminal Justice. While I am good at sales and it’s what I know, It just does not bring me the joy that makes me want to get up every day for work. Well that and I am tired of being Commission only. I really want something Salary Based (plus commission/bonus is a bonus) but also need something flexible due to being court ordered to pick up my daughter from school every other week. Anyone know of anything in the Vegas Valley, or even a remote role?

If anyone is interested in working armed security in a small locals casino, message me. I have a spot on swing shift, working from 3:30 to 11:30. CCW is required. My partner has a spot on his graveyard shift as well. Starting pay is $21 an hour. Not the greatest but not the worst either. Good common sense and customer service is a must.

Check the Henderson location for parts/warehouse. There Are always positions open. That department has high turnover unfortunately. Either way, I’ll email the supervisor tomorrow to see and let you know for sure.
