Wanna see something goofy?

#1
So, I've had a Tac-14 hard wood for a while, fun to shoot, easy to stash around the house.

Everybody seems to agree however that they benefit greatly from having a brace....makes sense. So I i decide to toss an arm brace on it. But this firearm had beautiful wood furniture....I wouldnt want to ruin that aesthetic! What ever could I do?

Build a goofy ass firearm, thats what.

Queue 1911 style AR grip, and matching 1911 panels. Gotta keep it retro!!!

Oooooh and it matches my ONG 870 so nicely!

Okay, so, it stayed like that, but I got to thinking even more. A lightbulb went on, and I went diggin through my parts bin. Whats this? Laminate?! Heck yes!! NOW We're cookin. Even better than being matchy matchy with ONG Wingmaster, now its matchy matchy with my Police Magnum.

Toss on a TLR1, and I think I've got a pretty dang handy, pretty dang compact, pretty dang unique package.

Just make sure it still "braces."

Personally I think braces have made a laughing stock (no pun intended, but that worked out) of the NFA and the BATFEIEIO. If it weren't for all the hysteria, it would be the time to just deregulate SBRs and SBSs.

Definitely, with the newest retractable braces

Agreed.

Until SBS’s and SBR’s get deregulated (we can dream right) There are advantages however to the braces. This firearm posted here and my CZ pistol travel with me commonly, and often times across state lines. Being just plain firearms that’s easier.

It all just shows how ridiculous the regulations are. That’s not a short barreled shotgun, it’s a firearm! That’s not a stock, it’s a brace! If they want to play games with semantics, I’ll play games with semantics.

I love this ‘pistol’....

I like wood furniture in my house, but not on guns so much.

But the top two pics, they're making me change the way I feel about my previous statement. Beautiful!

Yes he did a great job on it but as for wood on a gun nothing is more lovely looking than a well done wood stock as the picture will show. These rifles are not mine but a friends of mine I only have 3 WHBYs made in the 50s in my collection.
He sent me this picture of a small part of his collection
