Seems like a lengthy process and very time consuming. I borrowed a friends Dillon swager one time and did a big batch of brass. I don’t recall having any issues with the primer pockets afterwards.

wasn't as lengthy as it reads probably added more detail than I needed. the swager really is the ticket. I think that tiny bevel at the edge of the pocket really paid off for me. only 1 extra step and, it is really quick.

The Swage Gage is very helpful.
After the Dillon swager, I have been gaging each one. If they are still too tight or if it doesn't seat, I use the primer pocket uniformer on the Lyman Case Xpress.
