Default How to FTF sale transfer nowadays?

Back in the day, S. Nevadans could go to Metro with a handgun and the buyer could get the serial number run and reg the gun.

Does Metro still do this? I called them and the desk officer said no.
Does Henderson PD?

So how do folks do a FTF (face to face) transfer nowadays?

Go to a gun store that does transfers?
Just meet FTF and do a Bill of Sale? (both show ID?)
Just exchange cash and gun?

Thanks for your input.

I don't know if metro will check a serial number for you.
Arrange a meet place.
You can meet in a metro parking lot if you want. Or where you feel comfortable.
Assuming both are state residents, you don't need anyone to do a transfer.
You don't NEED a bos. If it makes you feel better and you both agree, it's ok.

Good luck buying, selling and trading.

Bill of sale with DL# is what I'm comfortable with for a FTF transaction - firearms, computer, bicycle, tools, whatever.

Makes it clear who purchased it, and who sold it, in case any legal issues come up later.

OP, obviously it's your call to set whatever terms your comfortable with when selling something, just keep in mind that there are some really good people on this forum who wont do the mandatory BOS on principle alone, so requiring same will reduce the potential pool of buyers.

What "principal" is that?

So, said folks don't buy cars or houses either?

BOS isn't a document that the Govt. sees.

When gun's have titles, I guess I'll sign for them. Otherwise....
If Govt will never see, what's the point of BOS?
I did one a while ago, but not anymore. Easier without, and I like easy.
