Default I was detained & Disarmed by the BLM while shooting today

Some friends of mine & I were shooting today outside of Vegas in the Desert.

We're packing up our stuff up (.50 cal, AK's, hand guns, .22's, Shotguns...) and a BLM truck pulls up and the officer loud-speakers us from inside his car:

"Back away from the guns."

I thought "Oh crap...I wonder if we're suspects for something that happened near here today."

We backed away and he says "Do any of you have guns on you?"

I said "I do...right hip and right pocket."

He said "Hands on your head."

I complied and when he got close, I said "I'm a licensed concealed carry permit holder."

He came over and frisked me, removed my weapons, unloaded them, & asked to see my CCW. I show him and he said "Who are they?" And he pointed to my friends. I told him their names and he said to them "You guys have any felonies? Ever been arrested or been to jail?

They said no. He continued to question them. But he didn't question me at all after he saw that I had a CCW. Must have figured I was definitely a good guy when he saw the CCW.

He asked "What are you shooting at? Just targets?" We said yes.

After a few more questions he told us to have a nice day and clean up our trash when we were done. He also said to wait until he was gone before we approached our weapons again.

He left. We pissed our pants. We went home.

I was too shaken up to ask for his badge. I was just glad to not have been thrown to the ground and roughed up.

But I've heard these guys are not ones to trifle with. Federal officers and all.

Took place out south of that solar farm on your way to Searchlight. Public land.

Was it a younger officer? Maybe they were fresh out of the academy and trying to make a name for themselves.

Bullcrap. They are supposed to be professional in their dealings with the public. He obviously doesn't approve of the public's use of the land, and wanted to make sure you wouldn't be back.

You should gotten his name and badge number, and filed a report with his supervisor for his heavy-handed behavior.

He sounds like one of the stormtrooper game wardens from California you see on 'Wild Justice'.
