2012 Hunting

Looks like this year my buddy and I are going to do another drop camp in Montana, we are going to try the Bob Marshall Wilderness area this year. It is an early season rifle hunt during the rut, opening day is September 15th. I cannot wait for the fall!!! That is some beautiful country up there, we will be in there for a week, should be an amazing trip!

Hoping to pull a sheep tag this year! cant wait for the results! lucky you can go to montana to hunt, place looks like a hunter's wet dream

Good luck on the sheep tag! Better hit the gym if you draw that one! Montana is definitely a beautiful place to hunt!

The jury is still out on the BMG, from the initial reports I have from the specific area where we will be going....probably not, it is really thick timber with very few open areas that it would be a benefit to have, but I still have a lot of scouting to do...if I can come up with a good excuse to punish myself I will!!!

Put in for NV elk, deer, and antelope... hopefully will get at least one tag! We didn't draw last year

Good luck! I put in here to for deer and elk, should know at the end of the month. I also have a special draw deer tag in up in Utah in the Book Cliffs, we shall see!

Hopefully the game officials allow a larger draw this year! In the email I got a week or two ago said that it would be decided this weekend...

Fingers crossed, I really need to pull a tag this year!!!

Here I already hear it will be 52% more tags than last year. Wonder if that is true.

That would be a really nice increase of quotas. It seems like almost no one pulled last year..even with a lot of bonus points!
