Default Fess Up - Who Owns a Saturday Night Special(s)?

I acquired mine after my grandfather passed away. Jennings J-22, a Davis .22lr derringer and if you count the the fact that it was <$100 and came in a silly cardboard box, a FIE Texas Ranger .22 LR/MAG S/A POS. I haven't shot the J-22 or derringer in quite some time but the FIE is the only revolver I own. If the cylinder wouldn't freeze up every 3rd or so round I could get over the inability of it to hit a pie pan at 5 feet.

Seeing the "confiscated guns" post by slickguns.com reminded me I even have them. I'd post them up on Backpage for sale but I know some OG vato loco holmes ese dude would offer me triple my asking price to bypass transfer at LVMPD. They've only offered me 20% over my asking price for Rugers and Glocks lol.

I have a few SNS mixed in with my better stuff. Sometimes it's fun to shoot the cheapies. If you don't want them let me know what you'd like for 'em. I may be willing to take them.

I have a hundered dollar 38 SPL Derringer I got at that gunshop on Sahara and Valley View, I saw it and thought it was cool looking so I bought it. Thats about it. I never have shot it, I just got it because I thought it looked cool.

My grandparents house was burglarized back in the late 60s here in Vegas when they were out on the town one Saturday night... (true)

They were very anti gun (but hard core Repubs). Put up bars over all doors and windows, etc. I thought that was that. Little did I know...

After Grandad passed away my grandmother gave me the "Gat" he bought to protect them after the fact. A little Rohm .22 cal RG10(?), NIB, never shot, complete with an unopened box of .22 short Winchester Wildcat ammunition.

My cousin and I took it out to the desert, each shot one cylinder full, I took it home, cleaned & oiled it and put it back in the box, then deep in the safe it went. Keyholed at 5 yds when it hit paper, about half the time.

Sticker on the box is/was priced at $39.95. I'll never get rid of that little beast. So, It is, my sole Saturday Night Special.

I have a Rossi six shot 22LR revolver that fits the bill. I received as a gift for helping build a patio cover. I had for years before I finally shot it. I don't think the guy who gave it to me (a city of Percell, OK, deputy) knew it was junk.

Small
Unreliable
Poorly made
Worth about $50

When my grandma passed a few years back, my grandpa ended up selling almost everything in the house trying to get rid of the memories, including the gun cabinet full of toys I always admired and hoped to have passed along someday. The only ones he kept are an old sxs and an old nickel plated Titan .25 my grandmother kept in her desk drawer. The Titan was the first handgun I ever shot, carries a handful of memories and was just sort of a neat piece. Hope to get that one when the time is right.

I had a RG in 45 Colt for a short time a few years ago. It actually shot decently. I got it in trade along with a S&W no dash 657 in .41 mag for the old tires and wheels from my old Blazer that I had gotten rid of. I ended up selling both, probably should have kept the S&W.

RG even made a revolver in .44 mag, talk about a hand grenade waiting to happen.

I have a Jennings J22, Raven MP-25, Davis .380, and a Hi Point C9, even though i don't consider HP a SNS. One of the forums dedicated to SNS has a postal match solely for SNS type guns. I placed in the top three last year, lol.

I'm waiting to get my hands on the chrome Raven Arms MP-25 that my grandfather bought brand new in the 70's and never shot. I have heard the stories about how horrible they are, but its sadly the oldest gun in my family, and I'd like to have it in my safe.
