Default Shooting Ranges in Parump??

I'm going to be in Parump tomorrow visiting friends who want to shoot some of my pistols. Where is a good range to go to in Parump (outdoor or indoor)?

Also are there any other good areas to shot in the desert?

No indoor ranges in Pahrump.

Only one formal outdoor range, and you have to be a member to use it.

So, that leaves the desert.

Most folks go out on Bell Vista Rd, there is an informal range area out there.

From Vegas, either by way of Highway 95 North and then Highway 160 East, or just 160 West (Blue Diamond Road) from Vegas, turn West onto Bell Vista Road, there is a sign there that says say Death Valley, with an arrow pointing West.

There is also a big cell phone tower on the South West corner of the intersection of Bell Vista Rd and 160, hard to miss it.

Go west on Bell Vista , a mile or so past Corbin St. (Windrock Ranch will be on your left, big red barns and such, hard to miss, it's a few miles down from 160) you will see a sign on the right saying "Shooting Range, 2.5 miles" , keep going until you get to it, it's on the right side (north side) of the road.

There are a number of "turn outs" off the dirt road that intersects Bell Vista, each with a berm of earth in front of it, find an empty one and enjoy.

Keep your eyes open while out there, we call that place "the Rambo Range" because not everyone who uses it practices muzzle safety, pays attention when someone goes down range, etc.
