Are the ruger promags any good? Promag has a spotty history with quality control/****ty designs.

No idea, but they also have Ruger mags on clearance.

I just ordered the two pack of Ruger brand mags for $60 from CTD. I was unsure about the Promags too so I just figured I'd spend the extra money now.

Nice price point on the 9e. Would like to hear how it shoots.

I second the Beretta APX. Nicely done.

I bought a promag for my LCP. Absolute garbage. Wound up throwing it away.

It's got a hammer, not a striker, but I love my Beretta PX4 for a range gun. 17 round capacity, rotating barrel reduces recoil, and a very light SA trigger. (Gun itself is DA/SA.)

I’ve had the Ruger 9E out about tree times now; est round count is 500. So far I’m very happy with it.

I’ve had no malfunctions using various range and self defense ammo. My son had one fte (stovepipe), but that’s all for malfunctions. It’s also an easy pistol to be accurate with both taking your time and under time pressure.

The one drawback/area for improvement is the typical stryker-fire trigger. It’s nothing you can’t feel when dry firing though so buyer be ware.

I have yet to clean it, but I did field strip it. It breaks down just like the old P-series Rugers. Very straightforward.

I ordered a two pack of Ruger mags, a kydex holster and mag holder for $120. So after buying used I’m still under budget.

Not sure what else to say. I’m not a gun reviewer. lol Feel free to ask questions if you want.
