Default Ruger 10/22 takedown measurements

I just ordered a stainless 10/22 takedown with a threaded barrel(no flash hider). I planing using it as a backpack/trail gun. My rifle won't be here for a while so I'm unable to measure it. Does anyone have a threaded takedown 10/22 that can tell me how long each half measures when taken apart so I may buy a size appropriate trail backpack?

The case it's suppose to come with looks nice but I would like to carry it in the same pack as my other gear.

Also, if you have your takedown 10/22 in a magpul hunter stock, I would like to know what each half measures in that stock as well.

For anyone who was looking for the measurements on a threaded Ruger takedown 10/22.

Overall length: 34.5"
Buttstock half: 20"
Barreled half: 14.5"

These measurements are with the factory stock.

I just purchased a takedown also. Have you seen the magpul backpacker stock for the takedown? I am waiting for its release.

I'll be honest, the magpul backpacker x-22 stock is one of the main reasons I picked up a takedown 10/22. I've had a couple standard 10/22's but got rid of them, the takedown is definitely a keeper. I wish we had an exact release date/dimensions on the stock.

All they said was spring, but who knows. I just can't believe how much money you can put into a 10/22 takedown. I actually picked up a PMACA Takedown Chassis for mine due to I had a bunch of Ar parts laying around while I wait for Magpul. Good luck on your build. Post some pictures once your done.

That chassis is very interesting looking, post some pics up of your build as well.

I dont plan to go too crazy as I plan to keep mine in my pack during hiking/ATV rides/etc so the lighter the better. Nylon bolt buffer, extended mag release, modified bolt release, magpul backpacker stock, and once I finally get off my butt and get my trust going, hopefully go suppressed.
