That means absolutely nothing. You can bet it will be heard prior to the deadline for getting out of committee.

Two new updates to the original post:

1. BDR 15-198 has become SB307, a bill from Senator Gustavson to repeal the laws that prohibit concealed carry and repeal the laws that require a permit to conceal carry, effectively a constitutional carry bill for this state by taking away said prohibitions. Would pair great with AB118 that does the same in the assembly, but we know these bills aren't likely to make it out of committee.

2. Found SB307 (did not have anything firearm related in the BDR title). It is a bill to amend the gun laws to allow medical MJ card holders to possess concealed firearm permits. Currently, the state law lists any "habitual user" as someone who cannot have a concealed firearm, and it uses the Federal definition of habitual user which would include state issued medical MJ holders. Proposed by a democrat, Senator Atkinson none the less, maybe this bill will have a chance of getting a fair hearing.

Worthy of note, records show that the "library revenge bill", SB115, has been passed by the state senate and will arrive soon in the assembly to be heard and passed, which would then send it to the governor. All rumblings show the democrats in line to expedite this bill for vote and passage. We'll need to be ready to write the governor as the first anti-gun bill gets sent his way.

Thanks for the heads up on the movement of the revenge bill.

"Dear Governor Sandoval,

This note is a thanks to you for supporting gun rights of Nevadans.
As soon as we arrived, my wife and I started watching for the usual democratic assembly bill manipulation that existed in our previous home state. We found SB115. It's passage with so many signatures was offputting, outlining that no state is free of attempted rights violation, and that with freedom comes vigilance.
You've been a responsible advocate of gun rights in this state, and we hope AB115 (SB115) will be vetoed. In the meantime, my wife and I will be looking for ways to give back to our community through political donation and activism. We are proud that you represent us and wish you continued success. "
