Question Front Sight Options

I am wondering what sort of aftermarket front sights you guys (and gals) use. I am looking for some of inexpensive competition style sights for faster target acquisition. Probably would use them on both my 1911 and my XD. I have a green fiber optic HiViz sight on my shotgun that really helps.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Try the Kimber Store at www.kimberamerica.com. They have tons of sight options, including a lot of fiber optic ones. I've purchased several items from them and never been disappointed.

Plastic pistols for competition Heinie sites Slant Pros.

1911's Bo Mars or Bo Mar clones.

Serrated black front site on all my guns.

Sevigny all black .115 front 150 notch on a G17. I started using them at the recommendation of a friend and I REALLY like them. Eventually all my guns will have them. Fast and precise. I resisted going back to black sights but Dave S. got the dimensions right and I shoot them better than any sight I have owned. They are relatively cheap compared to a set of Heinie sights and the Sevigny's have a superior sight picture.

+ 1 Erniebeckwith recommendation. I used the same sight on my Glock 34,17 and 22. However, for my concealed carry Glock 19 and 26 I used meprolight.

Thanks for the recommendations. Will look into this further. I almost ordered Firesights, but haven't had a chance to make a decision yet.
Mainly, for now, these are for my XD.

If you ever get to Vegas look me up at American Shooters on Arville St. and you can try my sights and see if you like them.

I use the Sevigny plain black and fiber optic front on my G23. I'm going to purchase the Warren 2-dot night sights either for my G23 or the G19.
