I've reloaded for shotgun, then for pistol. I am now venturing into rifle. I'm starting to reload for my AR. so the question I have atm is ... what's you fav primer for .223. per the "internet" its CCI BR-4. cept its not cheap. what have you all have had success with, other than that one?

I like the Remington 7.5 BR primer and I have just started messing with the CCI450 that people swear by.

I got in before the crunch and bought 20,000 small rifle and pistol primers. Bought the Wolf brand and haven't had a bad one yet. Now you can't find them. When I got them is was under $20.00 per 1000. Not sure what I would look for now.

Cci 400 small rifle primers work just fine along with Tula small rifle magnum (same as Wolf)

I use CCI for everything except precision rifle then it's Federal GMM. Over 10 years of experience and they have been perfect every time.
