Default Issue with my Shield 9mm

I was taking apart my Shield 9 today and the recoil spring assembly just fell apart. Has anyone else had this issue?

Lots of cases of this on the S&W Forum.

Contact S&W and they will send you a new one, generally free of charge.

Nothing looks broken, just put it back together the way you found it...or youtube or Google if you need help.

Believe me I tried. Too much tension to put it back. All the videos and pictures show it as one piece.

S&W has been really good to me. I asked what size the fiber optic sight tube was and they just mailed me a new front sight.

Gotta love a company that still takes care of their customers.

Gotta hate a company that makes a gun that can't be taken apart. I personally would not trust my life to a firearm that breaks when you field strip it.
