Default FFL Dealer

Hey all, I did a search and could not find a post that I viewed once before. SO I'm asking which FFL dealer will do transfers for free to Vets. I thought that I say that.. If not then who can you recommend as a transfer guy in Henderson.

Thanks and Marry Christmas.

Okay, it's been a while since I ordered online for a delivery to a local FFL, but are all local FFL's collecting sales tax on the cost of the firearm now?!?
On Davidson's website, it says they do. And it shows up on other FFLs when you do a search on the Gunbroker site.
Is this universal now or are there some left who don't bend to the state's will?

I believe it's universal now. Don't think any store owner will want to jeopardize their business.

I don't think that's a business license losing thing, as much as it is a "not our fault you didn't collect it, you still owe us for it" thing.

Last two transfers I did sales tax was collected but I was asked what I paid, did not have to show proof.

Take it for what's it's worth.

I haven't done a transfer from a business since the rule has been enforced. What's the standard FFL's are doing with regard to collecting sales tax?

No idea what the standard is.

The law is the law, current sales tax is 8.15% I believe. I don't have the receipt in front of me.

My experience has been, if no invoice is in the box, they ask you what you paid.

Seems pretty dumb. Because the dealer needs to show physical proof of why they collected tax in the first place, I believe. That's an aspect of the business I haven't really had to deal with the back end of. That being said, it would make sense to me to retain a physical copy of the invoice so that I can balance the books and keep the been counters happy. If I remember, I'll check my files at work tomorrow and see if the FFL actually needs to keep a copy by law. I have been collecting receipts and transfer paperwork this way for so long, that I honestly forgot why, just that there was a specific reason, lol. Thanks a lot Obama.
