old Your go to restaurants and places to eat...

Always on the hunt for good food.

In Henderson I really like:

Taco Y Taco for their al pastor tacos, just wish it didn't cost $20-$30 to get full on them

Another favorite is Beach Hut Deli, sandwichs are huge and full of goodies.

In Reno Betos was my go to, spicy pork wet burrito hhnngggggggg. And Hiroba for some sushi.

IMO Reno has better food than Vegas but I think I've had bad luck or can't find the real gems.

What are some of your favorite go to places?

Jefe's tacos is really good. Best Salsa Verde I've ever had. Bachi Burger is also damn good, but a little pricey.

Albo's Pizza is my favorite pizza in town right now. It's a total sleeper, too. I found it by accident. It's across from OG's. $10 for a 18" cheese. It's nothing fancy or life altering, but just damn good. Four Kegs also has great pizza.

In Vegas:

Michoacan in Centenial next to Red Robin ( it used to be a part of the Lindo Michoacan chain in Vegas but the partner bought himself out and took the family name off.) Mostly same great menu with a few additions, great service, great staff, great food, big portions, good prices

Lindo Michoacan any location

Mimi's in Centenial on Durango by the 215. Good service, better than all the other ones I have eaten at around the US and especially better than the one in Reno.

Da Bear. Black Bear Diners anywhere. Good comfort food, nice deserts

Alliante Casino Buffet. Good selection. Great lunch prices

In Reno

Gold and Silver Cafe on 4th street. Oldest family restaurant in town. Great comfort food, good prices. Big milkshakes

The Lake up in Sparks on Pyramid Highway good food locals joint

Harrahs buffet downtown Reno. Good lunch for cheap. They have a nice steakhouse downstairs as well.

Another good lunch place downtown is the Nugget on S Virginia street. Little diner in the back of the little casino They are famous for a burger called the Awful Awful but have a nice selection of other burgers and stuff

Steiner's. I'm pretty regular at the one on Cheyenne. Breakfast is good, dinner is awesome too.

Big Dog's Draft House. Not as great as it used to be but their meh is still better than 90% of the restaurants in town.

Broadway Pizza. Good NY style pizza, both super-thin pizza and the Sicillian pan pizza. Pasta and garlic knots are great too.

Amore's Taste of Chicago. Good deep dish pizza as well as Chicago style thin crust (crispier than NY style). Pasta and other dinners are good too.

Skinny Fats. I've had no complaints about anything I've ever had off their menu. Delicious.

John Mull's Roadkill Grill. Damn good bbq. Their ordering system is totally inefficient so prepare for a wait.

Pop's philly steaks. On Decatur and Alta. Outdoor stand, good philly.

Du-Par's at Golden Gate casino. Awesome pancakes as rated by Esquire magazine.

Sierra Gold and the PT's bars have pretty good food and service depending on which one you visit.

Sunset Pizza on Water street in Henderson. Good food.

Shakespeare's bar on Eastern. Good english pub food.
McMullan's on Trop by the Orleans. Same thing, just the Irish version.

Stephano's Greek food. Awesome gyros and baklava. Several locations

Sun's Thai Food and Jerky on Craig and Decatur.
Thai food to go on DI and Mojave.

Yeah, I eat out a lot.

I pretty much just like Port of Subs. I just get their 3 cheese veggie avocado sandwich on wheat.

I have to recommend Filipito's Mexican Food. I also second Hot n Juicy. In BC, hit up the Southwest Cafe.

There's a place called the kitchen table on horizon ridge that's pretty solid. They make a pork belly eggs benedict that is very good.
