Exclamation Last-minute invitation to help test!

Last minute invitation for PVGC members: tomorrow (Saturday 2/1) beginning around 9AM we're conducting a test on the new format at the smallbore range. If you're a member, or interested in becoming a member, show up with your .22 and ammo so you can help us with our trial run. There will be no charge, and you'll get some practice in before our inaugural match in March!

You load five rounds to shoot five targets, then return to load another five rounds to shoot the remaining five targets. There's a lot of time for each string, so even if you're single-loading there will be plenty of time.

I was just thinking some of the 10/22 out there

We have everything from single-shot bolt guns, to tube magazines. If you've got something with a tube/detachable magazine you'll just load five rounds at a time and have lots of time to complete the string. If you're a bolt gun without a magazine you'll still have plenty of time to single load.

The test run through last weekend was a hoot. I shot it with a Ruger 10-22 w/ iron sights & played with another 10-22 w/ a Cabellas rimfire scope using Federal bulk pack ammo. Very doable with out anything fancy in the way of gear. If you want to try match shooting this is a cheap and easy way to start. Time limits are very generous, targets are reasonably sized for distance and position and the equipment race is minimized.

I will be shooting a 10/22 converted to 17mach2. This match is going to be fun. Looking forward to get the position shooting practice.
