This is incorrect. You only need a fubearers/trapping license if you plan on selling the pelts. You can take as many as you like home to skin out.

Yes. Trapping or selling. There was a particular warden up in White Pine County that had spread that rumor to the point of threatening the organizers of a calling contest. The district office straightened him out.

Have you ever had this argument with a game warden? Just wondering if they might give You a hard time or not.

I have never bought a trappers license. But always drag dogs home. I usually give them to a family friend.

As a matter of fact I have ran into them a few times and they know the laws. I’ve even had a few take pictures of my kills to post on social media. Now if you have a bobcat or fox in the back, they might request a license.
