Default Received my replacement case of Jack Ross reloads...more bad ammo

First, I wanted to say thank you to the owner and staff of Jack Ross. They have been nothing but pleasant to deal with. Which is why I hate to post this thread.

A few weeks back I had bought 1k rounds of Jack Ross 115gr reloads from Guns and Ammo Garage. About halfway through the case I had a badly dented case. I posted a picture of the casing on this forum. The owner of Jack Ross contacted me and offered to replace my whole case, including the ammo I had not shot. I was pretty happy. I didn't expect anyone to do anything, let alone something that generous.

This was the original picture.

I had received my replacement case last week. Today I ran about 400 rounds out of the new case. When I got home, my fiance and I were loading mags back up and she came across another badly deformed round. I also found a severely discoloured round as well. To be fair, I am not sure if this casing being so discoloured would affect it in any way, but it appears that it was not properly prepped.

Here is the pic from todays findings.

I also put in the QC slip that was inside this case of ammo.

Now, two rounds out of 2000 doesn't seem like such a bad thing, however, I have not had this problem with any other manufacturer. Either one of these rounds could have caused a catastrophic failure and severe damage to my gun.

I really appreciate what Chris and his staff have done to try to make up for a mistake. I really do. But due to the same issue two times in a row, I can not keep using this ammo. I just don't trust it. I will shoot the rest of what I have left, but will not be purchasing any more of it.

Thanks again to everyone at Jack Ross. I hope that you can work through the growing pains you have been dealing through. I hope to see some good things come from you folks soon.

Have a good one and thank you for reading.

The discolored case is fine and has nothing to do with how it will perform.

As true as that statement is, JFComfort, Facejackets is right. That case never made it anywhere near polishing media. Even home-reloaders polish their brass cases before using them. Some do it again, after complete assembly!Just saying...Jack Ross needs better quality control.

Of course, we're talking about .15% (3/2000) which is a very small quantity. But still more than I've ever seen from dozens of cases of S&B,CCI Independence,Federal AE, Magtech, or PMC.

With commercially reloaded ammo this happens, you pay a discounted price for reloads you really shouldn't be too upset if one or two rounds (out of 1k) are bad. the crumpeled case would not have even fed into the gun, the discolored case would have shot fine.

I personally think they treated you well.

I agree that they went above and beyond to try to fix the problems for him, but if this were defensive ammo that would be absolutely unacceptable. If your life is at stake with a weapon or ammo, anything less than 100% flawless function is unacceptable.

I say burn through the rest during PRACTICE only. During competition use only WWB or some other major manufactured ammo.
