Nice formation.

I use 220 grains of H50BMG in my hand loaded API/APIT's.

Thanks for reply. How does that load work for you?
My API rounds are 639grn. 220 seems light, as hodgon Recomends 248grn for the 655grn bullet. |

It works very well for the application. I didn't want to load it crazy hot and end up detonating one of those bad boys in my tube. I generally just use them as an entertaining round and load the 750 grain AMAX's with 235 grains of h50BMG for the long range engagements.

Nothing beats a line-up of fifty cal rounds...the bigger the line-up the better, always brings a smile to my face! Its the little things...or fairly good sized things as it were....

i just dug through a lot of pages looking for anything about reloading the 50 bmg. finally. i am getting close to loading my first loads, just waiting for my bullet sizing die so i can take care of some pulled bullets. i have ap, api, and some spotter/tracer rounds to mess with. i was getting ready to get an rcbs press and dies when my inlaws got me the lee with dies, so i tried it out on 300 rounds with no problems. i will be working up loads with wc860, wcc brass, and cci #35 primers. everything is sized, trimmed, primer pockets swaged, deburred, primed, and ready to load. has anyone used this powder before? i have used other military powders with no issues. any suggestions would be helpful or i will get bac to you in a week since my resizer is on the way.
