I just received a phone call from Mike Read, Public Relations Representative of Winco foods. He let me know that they have had lots of contact about this issue and have come to the conclusion that we are welcome in their stores open carry. He told me that they really didn't like it but would not fight it. He said as a private property they have the right to prohibit firearms but that they would not.

Concealed means concealed, anyway. at least this problem was headed off before someone got shot. **cough* Costco **cough**

I stand corrected, but it took quite an effort (phone calls, e-mails, etc.) to get WinCo to see things our way.

my take on it is that the winco down in henderson has a lady who has problems with guns. other people posting on that forum say that the one that i got to, the one on 215 and decatur, the manager seems much more enlightened. sounds like a tinpot tyrant down there, hopefully she has been retrained. but yes, write that one up as a win(co).
