Building an AR with NFA lower

The upper isn't too hard but will require a special tool.

I would second getting a kit from palmetto for doing the lower.

I also second using YHM for the upper, I've built two with YHM parts never any issues.

Let us see it when done!

I am just pricing it out to start with to see if it is worth the hassle of not buying an already built one.

I have been using Del-ton parts kits with Surplus Arms and Ammo lowers for the last 2 years with no issues they shoot well and they are at a good price 490.00 for the full M4 kit 470.00 for the A2

Everyone has varied results because of the brand of 7.62x39 roundthe stock set up and the gas ports. It is a pain in the ass more than anything also there is not a standard parts list for any of the 7.62x39 AR15s that has been posted. The magazines are still not perfect as I am still tuning even new school magazines and have not found the best combination just yet. I have the combination for C- products but they are dead or atleast to my knowledge. Since it builds so much chamber pressure, dirty, etc against 5.56. I replace worn parts atleast three times more frequently. Not that we care becasue we made it for fun. Think of this. take two Armscore 55gr 223Remington, add one federal 22LR round and shoe all that in a normal AR15 lower, and an almost normal upper nuts huh? LOL.

The NFA polymer lower do work flawessly with the berdan primers of any brand or origin. For 100.00 I cannot even fathom how I can put together a lower that cheap. Those even come with a m4 stock assembly, with carbine buffer and spring!

Now, 300BLK that will be be cheaper, for the most part, more reliable, the power is almost on 7.62x39. I am sure an New Frontier Armory lower would be great with 300 BLK. I am sure Rifle Dynamics can make you a 300BLK upper if you want them.
