The upper isn't too hard but will require a special tool.
I would second getting a kit from palmetto for doing the lower. I also second using YHM for the upper, I've built two with YHM parts never any issues. Let us see it when done!

I have been using Del-ton parts kits with Surplus Arms and Ammo lowers for the last 2 years with no issues they shoot well and they are at a good price 490.00 for the full M4 kit 470.00 for the A2
