I carry both a G19 and G26. Which holster would work best for both guns?
The G19 holster where the G26 slide doesn't go all the way in or the G26 holster where the G19 slide/bbl would go through the bottom?

I'd go with the G19 holster. It will cover more/all of the G26 barrel/slide, but works fine.

I have a Supertuck made for a 27 and it holds my 17 just as reliably. Using the holster made for the bigger run always looks goofy to me, and I don't mind the barrel/slide extending out from the bottom of the holster.
Kinda nice that the 9mm, .40, and .357 Glocks are all identical dimensions when compared in fullsize, compact and sub-compact. Makes holsters easy to order LOL.

Sticking out or not doesn't really matter for me because I'm asking about the Texas vehicle mount holsters, not the crossbreads. Its going to be rivited to my truck.

I was more worried about if their holsters lock in more with the body or more with the slide.

As mentioned, the Glock frame/trigger guard dimensions are all alike. Only the slide/barrel length is different externally. Should work well for you.

Guido,
I think all the replies you have received are close to correct for the Glock line of pistols. My recommendation is that we press a Glock 19 holster and then there will be no problem with the Glock 26 fitting, and it will be just as snug as the 19 because we press to fit with the frame and they are the same. Thanks for your inquiry. Jerry

Thanks Jerry, thats what I wanted to verify. I know some are pressed on the frame, and some tighter on the slide, and that would have made the difference.
Sounds great, I'll be ordering soon!

I really like this layout and the spacer looks nice.
What is the spacer gap? After reading this thread a holster for a Glock 17 should work for all the 9mm glocks? And finally... Any known difference between Gen4 vs Gen 1,2,3? I have some iTac holsters that are a bit finicky with my gen4, but the comp-tacs I have work fine. I think I will do a mock up to see if this location is what I want in my truck, but it looks really promising. |
