Lovell Cyn. is paved all the way to the shooting area. Or there are side dirt roads on the way where you can pull off to shoot.

As far as shooting in the dark, I'm not sure, but you can call the USFS office in Vegas. Lovell Cyn. is part of the Toyabe Natl. Forest.

Ah I did not know the paved road was supposed to be followed all the way to the end. I kind of pulled off and started shooting by where I found a bunch of shotgun shells.

Thanks for the tips. Definitely prefer taking my Mosin's there as opposed to the range simply because I have been complained to for "powdering" the person next to me with the carbine. The wind was blowing that direction, I can't control that the Russians cut half the barrel off and kept the same round...

Went to Lovell Canyon the other day, great spot but there was so much trash, my god! My dad and I want to do a clean up there sometime soon.

I'm new on here so I don't know if board members do projects like that but in the name of keeping our pastime legal if a group representing the site wants to go out there to clean it up and do some shooting, I'm down.

A couple years ago, when we did a shoot there, I called ahead to the USFS office to let them know there would be a large group of shooters there, and that we would do a cleanup afterward. The guy I talked to said "Wow, thanks", and added that 'no one' does that!

I would estimate 30+ people attended. We definitely made a dent in the mess, carrying out about 25 trash bags full of crap.

Unfortunately, a month later, it looked like we'd never been there.

We haul out a pickup and jeeps worth of trash once a month. It may make a small dent sometimes.

Hey I accidently moved one of the map placement things while moving the map around. I was not sure where it belonged. This one was above Nellis AFB on I15. I put the place holder directly on the I15 road. This is above where 93 and I15 meet.

It seems that it is easy to accidently move these things as you move the map around.

I've only been up there to the Sloan location once for some subgun fun.

Is the mile marker 12 / Nevada Liteweight turn off where you go along and stay left back up in a little canyon / ravine where the spot is?

Hate to say it, but this map is FUBAR. Someone or a group of trusted members needs to make a new map and keep it locked to prevent random editing.

Has anyone personally been to "The Ravens @95 north"? I Want to make sure its a legit place without wasting gas

I usually go to lovell canyon but I live wayyy up on durango and 95 north so its a really long drive to get to lovell. Id like to find a spot thats closer,so any info would help.
