As may times in the last 25 years that I drove by the Roy Rogers Museum I always wanted to stop but never did. I had just read about Trigger being the horse above Mile High Stadium in Denver. I never knew that. a few months ago I did a little research and found out the “stuffed” Trigger was sold to a Radio/TV station in Austin TX. I contacted them and they told me they were in the process of building a Cowboy Museum

And Trigger would be the centerpiece there. They hoped to have it open this year.
Impressive avatar photo. When was it taken? Watched many a Roy Rogers movies and TV shows. Just watched one of his movies last week without Dale Evans in it. Gail Davis played the femme lead, although she didn't look like the future "Annie Oakley" of TV fame. Sorry, don't remember the movie. Always fascinated with the fact that Trigger was in the Errol Flynn movie, The Adventures of Robin Hood.

The guy on the left is my Uncle Joe Muscarello. He was in love with the cowboy life even though he spent his entire life as a truck driver in Niagara Falls, NY. He attended every rodeo he could and was on a first name basis with Roy, Dale and even Gene Autrey. He had lots of these old pictures of him with them. This was the only one I could find now that they all passed away.
