Hey Dave,

Just curious if you guys have ever considered doing to some A1 type uppers and lowers, seems like a solid demand for these ?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, it's not there, and it shows in the forge pricings for them. They're almost triple what raw material is for a standard upper now, that's why most of the ones you see on the market are coming in for Asia. We've thought about doing a full retro line and are working on acquiring a set of forge dies from another company, and if that goes through we would make them, otherwise, the demand just isn't there.

Thanks, with Brownells out of everything, 6-8 month wait at NDS and not a bunch elsewhere was just curious.

If NDS wasn't so stuck on pretending they're running a business in 1950 they wouldn't be behind. We made them an offer to partner up on some machine work. The volume we run in 1 month in our shop would be more than enough to fill what they do in a years time. Its something I would love to do, but the amount of $ and time it would take to set everything up doesn't fall in line with what we have on our plate right now, but I'll see about nudging it higher up on the list.

Hell yeah! An A1 upper with a early Lower with minimalist markings...I’d be in for a couple of each.
