I recently returned from my Mothers funeral with some wood carvings that had been done by my Uncle (a hobbyist, not professional), one of the carvings was of a bird (Cardinal) and the tail was somehow broken during the airline flight. I could slap some glue on there and call it a day but I'm wondering if someone here could maybe do better.

Well another go around testing loads this morning; overall pretty successful but I did have a question.

I loaded of a couple of sets of 55g SP with 18.2 and 19. grains of IMR 4198; these were proven rounds but I changed primer manf's. so I wanted to just confirm they were reliable. These worked fine and they seem to be fairly accurate in both loadings.

I loaded a few sets of 55g SP with H4198 and fired those. Started at 18.4g, 19.2g, then 20.g; all seemed to work well although I'm not sure of the accuracy (shooting in seated position and windy at ~ 50 yds.)

Here's my problem, if it is one. I noticed that when I chamber a round (either from the mag. or hand feed) it will chamber fine and fire and eject normally. However, once chambered if I pull back on the charging handle of my AR to check for loaded chamber, or to unload, many of my rounds would stick in the chamber. In order to get the round out of the chamber it took a bit of force to jack back on the charging handle in order to eject the live round. I could not ease back on the charging handle a bit, verify brass in chamber, then slide back into battery except on a few rounds. It took enough force that when the round came out of battery it would fly out and eject onto the ground.

With fired / empty brass I can eject the case by hand easily.

With factory new ammo. I can eject or back out of battery without difficulty.

I check all of my finished rounds with a maximum chamber gauge and they fit great, no issues.

Upon inspection of my fired cases I see some appear to have some very light scoring about 1/4" above the case head (not all, just some). Otherwise the cases look normal.

Any ideas? This rifle has a 5.56 chamber and is not "match" quality just a standard mil-spec M4 type barrel. They all fired fine so it's not that big of a deal but I really want to make my ammo. as good (better than) as factory if it's at all possible

Hello to Everyone at Nevada Shooters!

I would like to take a min to introduce myself and my store.

My Name is Paul Davidson, I am the owner of Davidson's Firearms. I originally opened about a year and a half ago in a office suite in some executive suites that I had running. This was going to be a hobby that I could make a little extra cash with but soon turned into a much much more.

I always hated having to ask permission to look at a firearm at gun stores! That is why when I opened even in a little office everything was out for people to pick up and touch without having to ask permission! I believe giving people the option to look and touch everything makes it much easier for people to see what they like the feel of and what fits them the best.

About 7 Months ago we moved to our new location that is much larger and we have a much bigger selection! We also have a lot more accessories! We are still growing and try to give the people of Las Vegas the best prices that we can!

Now I have a small staff that has a big heart and continues the same principals I started with in leaving the guns out for people to see and touch, and they have a good knowledge of firearms.

If you have any suggestions then please let us know and I would be happy to consider integrating them into our business if possible.

Again, Thanks for allowing us to join this wonderful community. I will try to be on as often as possible to answer questions and participate in discussions.

Thanks,
Paul Davidson

Well one day Harry the Eagle waited at the nest for Mary, his darling of 10 glorious years.

After a while when she didn't return he went looking and found her. She had been shot dead!

Harry was devastated, but after about six minutes of mourning he decided that he must get himself another mate, but since there weren't any lady eagles available he'd have to cross the feather barrier.

So he flew off to find a new mate. He found a lovely dove and brought her back to the nest.

The sex was good but all the dove would say is .......... 'I am a DOVE, I want to love! I am a DOVE, I want to love!'

Well this so got on Harry's nerves so he kicked the dove out of the nest and flew off once more to find a mate..

He soon found a very sexy loon and brought her back to the nest. Again the sex was good but all the loon would say is........

'I am a LOON, I want to spoon! I am a LOON, I want to spoon!' So out with the loon.

Once more he flew off to find a mate. This time he found a gorgeous duck and he brought the duck back to the nest. This time the sex was great, but all the duck would say was.....

NO, The duck didn't say THAT !
Getcher minds out of the gutter, this is a family forum!

The duck said....
'I am a DRAKE,
You made a MISTAKE!!

Got this from a young cousin in the USMC, he just came back from the Philippines, his second trip over there, and he was laughing about watching the faces of some young Navy enlisted men on their first encounter with "ladyboys"....apparently they (Navy) were drunk enough not to catch on instantly, my cuz and his buddies tried to warn them, but the Nay told them to buzz off, they got there first!

Finally after a few minutes of conversation and lap dances in the bar the Navy woke up to the fact that they were about to make a mistake!
